Well!
I certainly identify with the "lazy" aspect. I've got a couple of MOC's
(one in particular that has been finished for many months) but I still
haven't posted pictures because I'm not done taking them. Here I thought
trying to rise to the level of MOC's like Dan's would be the biggest Lego
challenge, but taking pictures of the results is far more difficult than the
actual building!
Dan, I love the ship! It has a real Corellian Corvette-crossed-with
Battlestar Galactica feel. However, your photography is what really makes
the model shine.
The thumbnails in the gallery combined with the scale of the model are such
that very few of the pictures hint that Lego was used to make the model.
Awesome work! How long did it take you to arrive at your solution for such
excellent pictures and how do you do it? What's your set-up? Other than a
little Photoshopping to remove the background, how do you manage to blast
the model with so much light? I've got two 500 watt lamps that get so hot I
can't take pictures without a fan going otherwise I can't see through the
viewfinder because of the sweat! The heat is also such that I can't move
them too close otherwise the Lego starts making cracking noises 'cause it's
bending from the heat! One thing's for sure, I need to get a white
tablecloth for my future photography sessions. I think the forest green one
I've been using is absorbing too much light.

| Have you lost your love for the homies in .Space? No announcement? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess that you are waiting until you have shots of the interior. Still, where is the love, Mr. Cyborg? (2 URLs) As for my take on the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
