I do still build.
The Hornet.
Like the BE-TLE, I wanted to do something fun and organic in shape.
The Hornet is an small, agile, and powerful hovertank. The Hornets four
directional engines provide the pilot with unparalleled speed and control. The
Hornet also features advanced flight computers that assist with flying in large
numbers.
Although the Hornets primary defensive measures are a small profile, standard
jamming, and acrobatics, its armor is incredibly resiliant. Although what it
gains in stamina, it lacks in heavy firepower.
It is outfitted with two stationary light cannons. It also has four
offensive/defensive rocket pods of two rockets each with individual targeting
for each pod. And underneath are two auto-targeting machine guns that track the
pilots retinal implant.
The Hornet is primarly for dispatching lightly armored targets. One Hornet can
be an impressive force due to its speed, agility, and stanima. A swarm can be
overwhelming.

| (...) snip (...) This thing is terribly awesome. I really like it, and was astonished that it was so small and could still have a minifig inside. Kudos on a job well done -Dan Rubin (20 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) I love this thing...in all it's spindly, urchine-esque voodoo craziness. The little things..like 1x2 old skool doors on the side...the decision to make it windowless and the fanned out back with everything in a circular 45 degree arangement. (...) | (...) I saw this on Brickshelf the other day and thought it was too sweet. I love the studless look and the organic shape. Mixing the galidor parts in is great. I'm definitely going to borrow ideas from this when I get back to building space. Jason (...) (20 years ago, 8-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
