Hi All,

I’ve just completed a new mecha. I started this some weeks ago with nothing more in mind than a desire to Build Something Using Green. The first two attempts were ok, but kinda goofy looking (photos available on request), but I’m pretty happy with the third.

I was going to enter this in the Civilian Contest in the otherwise empty Mecha category, but I got stumped on the legs (which ended up being stumpy) and didn’t get it finished in time. Such is life.

I can never thing of names for these things, so I’m open to suggestions.

plmkwyt.

Cheers,

Allister

still no sig

PS. ‘bout time we had a mecha building contest isn’t it?

'morning Allister, I saw your mecha on BrickShelf before seeing your post. Here is what I think : I like very much the fact you integrated as much as possible rounded bricks in this mecha : the barrels, the kind of rings used on the outside (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Awesome "Lenny Shot", Allister. I can't remember seeing a mech doing a "thumbs-up" before. The mech is also cool. You got all the joints to work plus the right sculpturing to prevent it from looking like a box with stick-limbs. The proportions (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) You are my new hero. I tried to start a mech a few months ago with similarly sized feet, and got stuck at the hips, even using the same ball joint. Your solution is fantastic! the Spartan. :) has nothing to do with the green color scheme. nothing. nada. nope. also nothing to do with me living in MSU country. nope. not a chance. sorry. Rick (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) How about 'PerfectlyBalancedAw...ned-tron'? For some reason, Symphony in Green Major comes to me. A little wordy, yes...but it seems to fit for some reason. Great build man. -G PS. ..... Actually I don't know what to say. What a fantastic mech this is Allister. When and where can we buy this model moc??! It looks so smooth and stylish. One of the most beautiful mecha I've seen! That's why I can't think of a name at the (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(URL) (...) Cool mecha. As I'm not a mecha builder I'll say my favorite part is that its made of lego. But while I'm no expert in mecha, I am an expert in cheesy thumbs up photos- and you sir do a fine one. While Lenny began the trend here at (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jul-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
