2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

Hello Spacers and Spacettes! This post to introduce 2 MOCs : 1 - (URL) The Personal Rocket> (URL) Part count : 19! 2 - (URL) POD> (URL) Basically two engines and one canopy. Kind of a StarWars POD, the engines being attached to the cockpit. I wanted (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Both are a tonne of fun, but the pod is sweet! I gotta get me some of those jack stone engines...yet another reason to! Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 30-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks Gil! It's the second time I use these engines, and I also think I need to get some more! Cheers indeed, JP. (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) The P.R. would make a great little kit. (...) gotta say I like this one better tho...compact design, but plenty of detail, great work as always. -Keith (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks Keith! And you can notice it would be no use for the Iron Reich : no weapons. Unless you wish to use them as training targets? JP. (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Hi JP, The Personal Rocket has a refreshing simplicity to it. It kind of reminds me of Dr Strangelove. The POD looks like a high performance update of the Isetta and is a great use of those engines. I like what you did with the canopy too. Nice (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

...is it just me, or does the Personal Rocket seem reminiscent of the weird lil' jet engine thing Earthworm Jim (semi-obscure video game reference, ahoy!) got around on? Fun lil' constructions here...albeit maybe a bit dangerous for their pilots... (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

(...) Oh Man! It totally does! I remember Earthworm Jim flying around on a big jet engine, this is pretty close, though it might be closer to Earthworm Jim with the prop in there that the Jack Stone engines come with. Also, I really like the cockpit (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

(...) This is pretty cool. I like the uber-retro vibe it gives off. I may have to build one of my own. It might be interesting to build a bunch of these in different colors, and set up a racetrack diorama. (...) Oh, now this is hot. I like the (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Oh yes, I remember the scene you refer to, he he he! :-) (...) Me too, he he he (again)! I came with this idea some time ago, I just had to find some engines to go with. (...) Peace, engines and canopy! JP. (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

(...) Hmmm yes, I think it's because of the pilot's helmet, no? (...) Hot pants.... Thanks, JP. (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 2 MOCs in one post (also) (what a day!)

(...) Thanks Soren, this is exactly the feeling I have! When this MOC came out, I thought it could come from an Hanna & Barbera cartoon, like the "Flintstones in space" (I don't know the name of that one actually.....) (...) I had a hard time trying (...) (...) The Personal (...) POD (...) Nice work, JP. Good combo of windshield bits for the canopy. Not too shabby for a pre-fab construction. Later, Todd (20 years ago, 5-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
