Deck 6 is the main engineering deck. It contains: a forward observation and
sensor area; turbolift bay; main engineering with the warp core and multiple
science and engineering stations, as well as landing bay control; 4 side
observation rooms.
You can see that there are 6x8x1 black structures along the corridors and in
front of both entrances to main engineerign that serve as force field
generators. Also note that guards (in white) are posted at several areas of the
engineering deck.
