  Pirate MOC : Mosquito

Hi all, Here is the Mosquito, a small pirate craft flying in swarm, designed to bite... Once it's hooked to your ship, no escape! A l'abordage! Stand by to board! (2 URLs) Folder post-moderation : (URL) Enjoy! JP. (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

JPR...very cool creation you've shared here! Very convincing entry in the Pirate faction, the colors and general shape work well to fit it into the theme's standards. I love the capture hook, I'd hate to have my ship caught by a bunch of those. Some (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

Cool. It's funky, it's sleek, I like! The grapple-missile looks nice, and the integration of the cable is top-notch. I agree with Ryan though, the Bionicle thing has got to go. Maybe it's the color, or the shape, but it looks really out of place. (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Thanks a lot Ryan! (...) Oh? I am surprised you don't like it. I think it looks very "pirate". I used it as the most basic skull head I could find. Maybe I should try to make a small skull head made of more than one piece, looking more (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Thanks Soren! When starting this MOC, I had in mind your (URL) Purple Haze> and your pirate theme. Happy and proud you like it, he he! (...) You too? Damn, who else doesn't like this bionicle-greeble? Rumble rumble rumble, ok ok I'll try to (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Great!! This is all about the 'playability' I drone on about all the time. It's simple design and fun main weapon is perfect. The angled thrusters give it ample design sophistication, and the pilot sled is fun too. Not too sure about the (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) I really like this ship. The harpoon and cable thing is cool, and I really like the way you made the rear thruster assembly. I also think that the blunt shape of the cockpit is very stylish. I must say that there's so little white on this (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Hi JP. Love the bionicle thingy, it's the rest of the ship that has to go. ;-) Just kidding. I think the problem is that it looks tacked on as an afterthought (even if it was the first thought.) And, it appears to interfere with the pilots (...)   Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) JP, this thing just plain kicks ass. The coolest moc I've seen in awhile. It's all about the playability. The pilot sled is a great idea, very unorthodox cockpit design. But egad man, that main weapon is spectacular! Very well executed. Like (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Thanks Daniel! I am also thinking of removing the white slopes and replace them with grey or yellow ones. Cheers, JP. (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) He he he! (...) Hmm hmm, afterthought is the right one... (...) Actually it turned the pilot vision into total blindness. But he's a minifig, they have extra senses. (...) My handkerchief is full! (D'ooh!) (...) Thanks Prof! JP. (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
