Re: Flush mounted access hatch that opens up

(...) You're right. I had seen the catalog entry on Bricklink but never actually checked it out. None for sale..No ever sold.... Lotsa people have 'em on their wish list though. :) Mike (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

(...) I thought I'd figured this one out at the time: (URL) Though admittedly, yours is a plate lower than mine. Do current postboxes have hollow studs or not? Mind you, current technic 1x5 plates don't have holes in the end... Jason Railton (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

  P-38 contest winners later today

I'll be announcing the winners later today. I'm just going to keep it simple and vote on it myself with some recommendations from a few other people who didn't participate. For future contests I want to set up code that runs the entire show. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

(...) I believe that the 1 x 4 tile was never made without a groove. (Grooves were introduced almost a decade before the 1x4 tile first appeared.) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

Re: Flush mounted access hatch that opens up

(...) I'm out of my league here - SNOT is very not me and neither are trains :), but I figured this was too good to pass up. I don't know if Mike can do it, but I just did it in 2 2/3 bricks and 4 studs wide, opening sideways :) Here's the pics to (...) (...) D'oh!!! *slaps forehead* That would be one of the two pictures I didn't look at then. That's much cooler :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Indeed you did. But (and you're probably going to hate me for hurting your brain like this), can you make it open...sideways? (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

Flush mounted access hatch that opens up

Aha! I had an epiphany. When I posted this hack: (URL) question was raised if it could be done so the door opens up. The height is identical to the original. 3 bricks high. The first picture is a little fuzzy but the second has the guts of it any (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

  Re: Stinky Pete's tow truck

(...) Hey, Ley, thanks for the response! Shopping carts? Well, I never thought about that. But yeah, thanks for the comment on color. I guess I'll try adding some in my next utilitarian MOC, although I was kinda going for a clean boring grey look. (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Oakland

Kenn, I've studied the Oakland... I can't decide what the most exciting thing about it is. It's either your great creativity on display, or it's the fact you've proven space rocks so much it can use Pirate theme pieces without skippin a beat! Space (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Stinky Pete's tow truck

(...) Well, JHK, this is a fun little utility craft. (It [must] still be fun, else Stinky would have upgraded by now, right?) Like the others, I like the asymmetry and the overall utilitarian feel, but also like the others, I think it could use a (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Jade Empire K

(...) I don't known about this one. I don't mean to slam you or anything, but this MOC doesn't really do anything for me. The cockpit idea is interesting, but I dunno. It looks too much like a jumble of LOM engine blocks with engines and stuff (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  IP2002 Heck-bat
