Re: Lego Playmobil-like figures at McDonalds

(...) Cool, I was wondering where the 1580 came from. It's been a while since I was 15 when I first got one, so I couldn't remember where I got it. Not in any of the S@H catalogs from that time period...just checked... --Dave (22 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Sci Fi Novels --> movies

(...) Back in the early '80s I actually wrote Douglas Adams a letter talking about how much I liked the books (I think just two were out then) he had written. He wrote back, telling me he was working on getting a movie of HHGTTG made and that there (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) What's the underlying technology here? 9V battery box and motor? The rtlToronto guys did something like this for their peoplemover a while back. Glad to hear it's powerful! (22 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: t33ny 3vil skull

(...) I like the skulls. Pretty 3vil. 3vil will of course fall before Shpleevil, but that's beside the point. I have to say I've always wondered why you don't go ahead and render your LDraw creations. You seem to do everything in LDraw and rendering (...)   Moontruck

Most of my lego agenda: -Unpack from PDX -make a moontruck -design and build a new ship -keep up with the P-38 contest -answer a lot of email -make this post -post the new ship -update the moonbase page etc.. When I got back from PDX I worked on (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, FTX) !

  Re: Little Shuttle craft

Mark, I really like that cockpit design you have. The elevated position of the rear pilot (gunner?) reminds me of the seating arrangement of the Apache gunship - not that this ship has to be a military MOC. Good use of the elevated space provided by (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Little Shuttle craft

(...) That is so not what I expected to see as the first use of those scoops on a Space MOC. I figured it was only a matter of time before these particular pieces got used for something, but that they'd end up being used as walker legs, or landing (...) -snip (...) Hey jeff - I like the top right one in this list the best - and the very first one is cool, too. I think the 1x1 round plates work best as teeth.
