Mark's Lego Creations Update! —Mark Sandlin
"How does he do it?" You ask.... A Contest and a new model in one day! Muahahahahhaaaa!!! New HF-200 freighter in my Spacecraft section. I have table-ized it so you don't get wrist strain from all the scrolling. :^) ~Mark (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

WOW! Excellent job Mark! I love the use of Ice Planet skis as engines, and the extensive use of Star Wars blaster-thingys everywhere. Very cool, as usual. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Thanks Mladen. I have only Bob Hayes to thank for inspiring me to work really hard on a freighter. Still not as big or developed as one of his, but I'll keep working on it. ~M (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update! —Jeff Elliott
(...) Just as well... if you built better freighters than Bob, you'd be winning your own contest, and *THEN* you'd hear whining <nudge> ;) Jeff Elliott (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update! —Mark Rideout
(...) Great freighter Mark! I love the use of classic-space yellow windows. But most of all - the play-accessibility you added to it with the opening wall. Great design on the landing gear also - I would not have thought of that combo. Ahh yes - I (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Thanks Mark. :^) Hey, when are we gonna get together and build some more? ~M (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) Probably after the 8/25 weekend - hmm what is going on for you around Labor weekend (10/2)? The 10/9 weekend and 10/16 are busy, but nothing after that until Oct. let me know about the Labor weekend. -mark (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.us.wa)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update! —Nicholas Fezie
(...) Ultra cool. But a couple of questions, how stable is it with only those two landing gear thingys (though I'm sure this doesn't matter because of it's super gravity-disruptero configuration, (-:)And I tried to get a good look of how the crew (...)         Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update! —Mark Sandlin
(...) Actually, a lot more stable than you'd think. The landing gears have a 1x2 hinge at the bottom and the top, so they fold up, and solidity is added with 2 1x2 plates and a 1x2 tile (in effect, a 1x2 brick) at each joint. The 6x6 "feet" really (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) for (...) carry (...) Now that I look at it, it does look like a Sandcrawler with the big door in front and the cockpit above the door and such. Hmmmm... Well thanks for the photo consideration. Great job on the contest. Bye. -Nick (24 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)
