Wow! Three space MOCs in a day. I may have to stop claiming not to
be much of a space fan.
The BOmar and FOmar Deep Space Fighters are microscale fighters
clearly inspired by a certain Star Wars set... not necessarily a
set that you might think would inspire deep space fighter design.
The BOmar is the lighter of the two, mounting a light
superturbolaser at the end of each of its three spacefoils. The
BOmar is a general purpose fighter, equally at home pursuing,
patrolling and dogfighting. Had the Rebel Alliance had a few of
these, the battle of Yavin IV would have been over a lot sooner,
and with the loss of a lot less blood (rebel blood that is, the
imperial losses would have been at least the same).
The FOmar is a heavy attack fighter. It is the axe, where the
BOmar is the scalpel. Sure it can move and dodge, but in the end
its the heavy hitting power of two banks of four
megasuperturbolasers, supplemented by two heavy proton torpedo
launchers, and a single superturbolaser on its dorsal spacefoil.
I am currently building the AOmar Battlestation - a light attack
carrier, which will transport and resupply four BOmar and two
FOmar Deep Space Fighters.
More pics of both fighters
here, post moderation.
Adieu

| (...) Indeed! These are two very cool little micro-fighters.. they look like they would be fun to depict in minifig scale. I look forward to your carrier ship! these are fun! -Lenny (21 years ago, 22-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
