a perfect day for something new

The planets alligned giving me the time and space to photograph some creations that have been sitting around. So without further ado... First up as an attempt at PCS. It's a deep space explorer launched from orbit and uses stars to slingshot around (...) (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: a perfect day for something new

(...) Hello Patrick. I dig all 3 MOCs. So far I have been enjoying everyones PCS MOCs. Yours is pretty sweet! The "long range look" of it goes with your description. About the mech, I like the arm/weapons of your walker mech, works very well with (...) (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: a perfect day for something new

(...) Dude! That's great! The long cylindrical shape is really unique, and you've made it work well. It truley looks like a space vessal, with the long spindly appendages and those nifty circular thingies on the back. And the references to Classic (...) (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: a perfect day for something new

(...) Patrick, I too think all three creations are great! The deep-space vessel is AWESOME! I too really like the circular form you've designed...pulled it off very well. Those rings are spiffy! As for PCS, I think it would fall under PPCS (Post-Pre (...) (21 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) (snip) This is good stuff Patrick. I really enjoyed seeing the Triax at Brickfest. Chris is on vacation right now, but I have a feeling he'll love the Calypso. I think it's awesome. To be honest, I'm not a big ice planet fan, but your IP mech (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) The Calypso is great. I love the rear section w/ the big circles. Haven't seen that done before, very creative. More pics plz. The Triax reminds me of Adrian's Arcalaxis: (URL) and you may want to check out my Triumvirae (URL) I really like (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

oooo. Looks like a late PCS era LLX? series craft as things were changing over. VERY cool. It's the PCS version of the: [LEGOSet 6980] Very inspiring. Welcome to PCS my friend, err I mean Deep Space Science Specialist. (URL) Admiral Giddens <>< (...) (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Patrick- Great work, man! The Calypso is fantastic. I love it's distinctive shape. The cockpit area is also superb...I like the way you positioned the canopies to provide excellent visibility for the crew. The rest of the ship has excellent (...) (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: a perfect day for something new

Well, I'll just add my praise to everyone else's. I dig the Calypso. I think it looks like 1970 or 80s artist renderings of what future advanced spacecraft might look like. I also really did the huge engine clusters mounted towards the rear of the (...) (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

You came up with a new take on things, and it's a good take! The slingshot drive is really neat for (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: a perfect day for something new

Good stuff, Pat! I think the Calypso is especially groovy and really has a CS or PCS appeal. At first glance it has those cool, sci-fi kind of details and features that make one ask "Woah, what does that thing do?" It definitely looks like an (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)
