New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Nathan Wells
Hi all, Here's a new MOC I made: T-SEC's next deep space probe, Kirk I. (URL) Kirk I> (URL) Main Folder> Kirk I's shape is based off Mariner 9. Kirk I was built after (URL) Archer I>, but before I uploaded Archer I to Brickshelf, and therefore I (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —George Haberberger
(...) Nathan, I like this, it has a real satellite/space probe feel. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —John Henry Kruer
(...) Very nice, Nathan. The shape is very nice, and the booms are alot better. Although I would have to agree that it needs more stuff on it- it looks too bare with just that big radar dish. More antennas and dishes would be cool... but I still (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Hmmm, a mobile emergency medical response probe...now there's an idea... (URL) (21 years ago, 1-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Alexander Johnston
That's pretty cool. Probes and other unmanned craft are uncommon here in space. However you have done well. Am I to expect a Janeway I, Sisko I, or a Picard I anytime in the future? ;-) (21 years ago, 28-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Nathan Wells
(...) Thanks! (...) I like building probes and satellites because I don't have to worry about the life-support bits for minifigs (air tank, bathroom, food storage, bunk). It's a nice chance from all the military fighters... (...) Picard I has been (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Manfred Moolhuysen
(...) my personal faforites would probably be: Counc. Troy 1, (for it's assymetrical shielding) Seven of Nine One (for it's very sleek and stealthy design) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. [FUT off-topic.fun] (21 years ago, 2-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Leonard Hoffman
(...) I, too, like the series of probes and satellites. very cool and very different. just a question: is there anything about these probes that connects them with their namesakes? -Jr.Marshal Hoffman (URL) (21 years ago, 2-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Nathan Wells
(...) As you will soon see, Sisko I looks vaguely like Deep Space Nine, but that is all. I'm just a brick-lovin' Star Trek nut who is lazy in thinking up names. ;) (URL) (21 years ago, 10-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC: 'Kirk I' —Gil Shaw
(...) This is an interesting subtheme you have going here. The shapes are quite realistic and the structure rings true. The only thing I might suggestion is a little bit of inset greebling....not on the surface but perhaps peeking through some gaps (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)
