Fine! I hadn’t really decided how I felt about it yet...but here goes :)
- I like it because the shape is unique. It looks like an oil can or something with a cockpit tacked on top and some engines added to the back, which is precisely the purpose of the ship, right? So, form follows function = good hard S.F.
- I don’t like it because the shape is too unique :) I think the part that bothers me the most is the tall opaque canopy right behind the cockpit...it doesn’t flow with the shape of the rest of the body.
- Another thing that bothers me about the shape is that it tapers at both ends (don’t ask me why that bothers me, I don’t know) Perhaps a triangular or pentagonal array of engine nozzles would work better than the single central one.
- A good way to make the ship look more like a tanker truck might be make the cockpit into a self contained capsule, like a semi rig’s tractor cabin. Then tack that capsule onto the side of the huge tank...Perhaps that results in something entirely different from what you envisioned, but I think it could work well.
- Like Gil said, the nozzle needs a bit more detail.. some attachment hooks or extra hoses or something.
As usual, these are just ideas, it’s your MOC, build it however you want to.
