Hehe. And most houses released by Lego scale to about the size of my
bathroom. I think we all realise that LEGO takes certain liberties with
accuracy in the name of playablilty and piece count, and that's ok. I was
talking, as was Jon at the beginning of this sub-thread, about making
accurately scaled models (if such a thing can be applied to models based on
fantasy).
By either scale a LEGO car should be AT LEAST 8 studs wide, and the average
house wouldn't fit on a 48x48 baseplate.

So be it :) In all honesty, you're probably right, although I'd say
'adequately' rather than 'the best'. It certainly works on Brucey Wan's Star
Wars models. The possible exception though (and the one that prompted me to
think about this) is scale models of buildings and large ships with
multi-roomed interiors. For those models the little bit more room the 1:32
scale affords could be very useful.
