Apart different resistance to pressure, these 3 parts are also in the
library for better coverage of lego history:

4085a is years 1981-1984
4085b is years 1985-199x
4085c is years 199x-2002

Great that's what I wanted to know.

Where did you get that information?

From my own space and castle lego collection.
The frontier is actually a little more fuzzy.
Some year 1985 sets may still have the original 4085a version.
Or may be it depends how early/late the box is produced in the year.
I don't know exactly.

If someone has more precision, please contribute (I redirect to
lugnet.db.inv, because it is more an inventory topic than a cad topic).

Thanks,

Damien
