| | New MOC: Toradoch Renard speeder
|

Greetings! In response to Jeremy Sproat's call for landspeeder MOCs, I was working on a quick little design for a speed which I now present as Toradoch Kinetic's Renarad aeroground high performance speeder. This is actually an updated version of a (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-02, to lugnet.space) !

Wow! All those slope pieces work well in this. The assymetry and all the bits sticking out of the back are nice too. Quite an interesting design. Only one question: how does the pilot reach all the controls in front of him? :) -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

That's cool. I love the assymetry, as others have noted, and the color scheme is great. All the stuff sticking out the back makes for interesting lines. This thing looks awkwardly fast. -Chris (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

Oh, but it is! Perhaps Ms Foxx would be interested in a model? Now what would it take to get her in one of these (says cheezey-moustached local Toradoch salesman). Thanks! -G (...) (22 years ago, 8-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

Thanks John! I'm still using your idea of the 6stud tapered slope...this time as a sideflare on the cockpit. On the reverse angle, it is revealed that the insturments above the control bars are display only. However, I needed sleep more than another (...) (22 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

Thankya Chris! When I made the original...oh about 21 years ago, I was attempting to make a space version of my neighbour's '74 Stingray. Ever since the tapered slopes have been coming out, I've had it in my mind to try and do the same....and voila. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

It's the lure of the speed!!!! Many thanks Adrian, for both the compliments and the design inspiration. Strangely, it came partly from my building past as described earlier, and also some infuence from that Japanese biker phenom we were discussing (...) (22 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)
