Moonbase Module: Monolith Landmark Site —Gary Thomas
Just goofing around, I felt incomplete without a moonbase module to call my own: (URL) so it's really simple - but hey, it has a nifty robo-tourist and, uh, space-nuns. The monolith is the correct dimensions also: 2 studs (w) x 8 studs (l) x 15 (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc) !

(...) I was just looking at your module. I was wondering about how to properly hinge the airlock door. And the space nuns just make me laugh. A person's imagination never ceases to amaze me... -Duane (URL) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module: Monolith Landmark Site —Adrian Drake
(...) My guess is it doesn't hinge. It's probably held on with a pair of 1/2 technic pins into the standard moonbase connector locations. Neat idea though. This would look good next to the Apollo lander site module. I had a thought, though, on (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) I think Jamie Neufeld's force field airlock design from his "Dan's Used Ship Lot" module is a great idea. Mark M. (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Bingo :) Yeah, I actually forgot about adding a door until the last minute. This was the quick solution. Thanks for all the nice comments everyone, I appreciate it! Take care, Gary (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

This is fantastic. I still get shivers when the Tycho site is first revealed. Simple...yes. Excellent...you bet. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) This is a fun base to see! I think all it's missing are some space monkeys ;-) Too bad Lego doesn't make apes. - Bob (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module: Monolith Landmark Site —Bruce Hietbrink
(...) Hey, I love this module. Very funny. My favorite aspect for some reason is the stairway to the hallway connector, which just sort of goes off into space. Also the little plaque in front of the monolith. Nice detail. And space nuns! It totally (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module: Monolith Landmark Site —Brian Tobin
Your Monolith Module is great on three levels: A well-done movie custom, a well-done moonbase module, and, perhaps most importantly, VERY FUNNY!!! The nuns are just plain wacky, and the whole thing is just a very original idea. I love the airlock (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.space)
