"Mammoth" Next-Generation Hovertank:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/mladenpejic/Mammoth.htm

Excellent detailing as usual, especially the inspired use of parts to get a
sexy anime-styled form. But...

Thanks Paul!

I really don't like the tank's colour scheme at all. And not just the use of
tan, grey and red either(which I wouldn't have picked). I really feel it
would look so much better if each colour had been spread around to reflect
the "real-life" purpose of the greeblies, as in red/tan for panels and grey
for bars and knobs... as opposed to bunching the red and tan into blobs on
an all-light-grey MOC which otherwise comes across as kinda bland. Sorry to
be so critical, but y'know... given the excellent form, I find the colour
scheme a major bummer. :-(

Well, I picked the colour scheme 'cause of both necessity (in terms of parts
needed for what I was going to build) and originality (it's a relatively
unexplored colour combo).

I agree, there is not enough tan, but hey, I don't have the same, large,
opulent collection some you AFOLs do (which you guys put to such great use, in
models I could never even fathom to build, BTW). So I have to work with what
I got.

Also, I've been clustering colours ever since fall 2001. It's become a
trademark for me, and I like the clean look. Apparently, judging from the
replies I've gotten here, people like it. You're the only person I've heard
speak out against it.

I *try* (don't always succeed) to specify certain "functions" for colours. In
this model, the weaponry and defence systems are RED, the structural and
technical bits are GREY, and the TAN is mostly reserved for special stuff like
doors, wings, etc.

I personally love using colours like this, and until more people tell me it's
bad, I'm sorry, I'll continue doing it.

BTW, if you wish to rebuild the "Mammoth" in a better colour, one that you like
Paul, you can... Just wait 'til I finish the .MPD file.

Finally, I revised my several-months-old hard-suit design and took pics of • it.
I think it's one of my best 'suits because it can be built in large • numbers,
and it's fairly decent looking.

Very cute! I'm a "must-use-whole-minifig" purist myself, but hey, I have
trouble imagining the wheels turning on Bram's Banshee cycle...   ;-)

Thanks again. I like the "purist" suits as well. They're a bit harder to do,
and not as sleek as these "head-only" ones.
