(...) My memory of seeing the first minifig spaceman is a summer memory, and it was before 1979 started. I guess it could have been a warm Texas December though! (...) According to my only 1979 catalog, all space sets were new to 1979. Actually, all of the 1979 catalogs at Brickshelf shows the same and there is no 1978 catalogs with a single space set in it, again according to Brickshelf. I think it's just (...) (...) That's what all my 1979 catalogs say, too -- and there's no mention of the Space sets in my 1978 catalogs either... But there definitely were at least 2 or 3 "waves" of releases -- one full release for 1979 and one mini release for 1978. The (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.database)
