Hey. I was wondering how some of you make your color choices when making • new
mocs. What colors go good together? Bad together?  I am also working on a
design for a fair sized space craft and thats what i want to know what
colors to use. I am working on borowing a digi camera so i can also show
some of my mocs.

Thanks,

jd

Some really good combinations that work for me are red-black hybrid
models, and of course, the good old, green and grey color scheme. Blue
and black seems to work well, but stick with the red if you're going
with spacecrafts, stick with the red; kind of gives it a spartan look:)

Mostly, I associate the color choices with what type of model I build,
depending on whether terrain it would be suitable for, and what not.

That's a good point - sometimes, the model pushes you into a particular
color scheme.  Most utility vehicles aren't race-car red and blinding
yellow.  And most space racers aren't grey, black, dark grey, brown...  I've
also found that color can dictate design.  If you start building in yellow,
you'll probably end up with an attack fighter or something else speedy and
flashy.

Some of my personal favorites are black with yellow and trans yellow (aka,
good ol' blacktron colors - can't go wrong there!), yellow with black and
trans red, and black with grey, dark grey, and trans yellow.  So much for
avoiding black, but that's why I raytrace  ;)
