Here is a heavy starfighter. It was mostly a collage of several ideas that
I desired to implement... so I just kind of slapped them all together into
one ship. The wings and overall shape was inspired by a computer game
called Echelon. I never acutally played the game, just sort of stumbled
across it while seeking inspiration.
I'm actually quite proud of those wings and will probably reuse them once I
fix the lighting and focus problems that I am currently experiencing.
The lower part of the engines was a direct rip-off from Mark Sandlin's
Gazelle freighter. The upper part is my design though I may have been
influenced by other people's MOCs. Though I don't think the pics show them,
there are four heavy laser cannons that look like missile batteries in
between the main wing structures.
If I were to lower the heigth of those engines and streamline the rear a bit
the echelon would look much better. However, I'm not particularly
interested in perfecting anything until I can show better pics. Mostly I
just experiment and build bits and pieces of stuff. Without the means of
showing MOCs in quality pics I just don't see the point.
Anyway, LMKWYT.

| (...) use as a backdrop. When you're using a low res camera, background details make it really hard to see your model. I'm having trouble making out the actual shape. It seems interesting, tho. :^) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.space)
