We will have an Ice Planet 2002 contest in June. This will allow people a
chance to plan and clear out their building schedules. (I have a train show
in April)

Entries should be accepted from June 1st to June 15th and voting will be
held from June 21st to 29th. It was nice to have a 100% voting participation
in BT1 and I hope to see the same again.

Since this contest will not be following the normal sequence, I think there
should be some new catagories to help us celebrate the Year of Ice Planet :-D

First of all we will have the basics:
I - Polybag Ground or Air - limit of 50 elements
6814 Ice Tunnelator

II - Small Ground - limit of 100 elements
6834 Celestial Sled

III - Small Air - limit of 200 elements
6879 Blizzard Baron

IV - Bigger Ground - limit of 250 elements
6898 Ice-Sat V

V - Bigger Air - limit of 450 elements
6973 Deep Freeze Defender

VI - Bases - limit of 600 elements
6983 Ice Station Odyssey

Then we can have some real fun...

VII - Ice Planet Alternates - alternates for the previous six listed
official models, you can only use the elements in the set

VIII - Ice Planet Paint - built with real bricks only, build an official
model from another theme in Ice Planet colours (Sorry, CAD need not apply here)

IX - Ice Planet Insanity - Weird, wacky and wild designs

X - Ice Planet Unlimited - None of the above

In case you can't tell, I have been thinking about this contest for a little
while, after all, it was the theme to bring me into AFOLhood. :-)

BTW, I need help with this... any takers?

I can probably help-what sort of thing do you need? Rules written up, or
will we have the same ones as in the Blacktron I contest? Websites built? I
can help with either of those and most other digital aspects.

Here's one suggestion, brought about by Todd's musings regarding voting rules from the first contest: Instead of disqualifying an entry because the owner didn't vote... just give that entry a negative vote (or two if you want to encourage it (...)
