A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Wilson Raska
Hey everybody, I'd like to introduce you to the Rancor, my first attempt at building a turbocycle. The gallery is located here: (URL) be sure to check out the .mpg file. It has a cool, showroom-floor type thing going on. And I think the music goes (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Drew Lawrence
(...) Niii...iiice. I like the medieval theme you've got going on with the bike. Great work, my friend. I personally dislike the music; I think something like Korn or Slipknot or Static-X would be a better theme song. (but thats just me, the heavy (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Wilson Raska
(...) Ya thanks, I guess it's influenced a little by some of my castle stuff I've done. (...) Ya, I just threw Rob Zombie in there for the movie cuz it's kind of a high-energy song. But I do agree with you, the bands you listed would go great with (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Drew Lawrence
(...) If you'd like to keep Rob Zombie, you know what would be a really good song? Dragula. "Burn through the witches and slam in the back of my dragula..." I think Dragula and that bike would go together. `Drew (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Wilson Raska
(...) Sweet, thanks Bram! As well as the low profile, I tried to keep it narrow to prevent it from getting too bulky. The castle pieces gave it some nice detail and made the sides look a little less blocky. Wilson (URL) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Tony Hafner
(...) The bike is great, but the .mpg is really great! The music is very appropriate. What I like most about it is that it gives you a much better view of the bike. It's often hard to catch the shape of something in still pictures, and the motion (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Adrian Drake
(...) It is a pretty clever idea, yeah. If I had a digicam capable of taking movies, or the patience to do it stop-motion style, I'd make movies like that too. It's a really innovative idea. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Wilson Raska
(...) Thanks Tony! I'm glad you liked it. I think I might start using this technique when showcasing more of my models. I might have to refine the system though; for this movie I just had a couple of crude pulleys set up to make it spin. Wilson (URL) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Mark Sandlin
(...) But I am not amused at your attempts to bring castle elements into .space. How dare you! Get 'im, boys! ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head -- Mark's Lego Creations (URL) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Wilson Raska
(...) Thanks! (...) Hmmm . . . well maybe you might remember this MOC you posted to .castle: (URL) not sure, but it looks like there's space parts in that there airship. Just don't look at mine, I can assure you that it's 100% castle pieces. ;-) (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: A New Turbocycle: The Rancor —Chris Maddison
Very cool Wilson. It has a "heavily-armored and pokey" look to it. Like a mean armadillo on wheels. :-) I really like the front end. Love the fig you put together to drive, too. -Chris (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)
