Here's my second entry in the Blacktron contest, the Mobile Message Decoder.
I'm entering it in category IV: Large Ground Vehicles.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=9064

The set consists of a cockpit module, a cargo module that carries a rover
and robot, and two wheel modules- one of which is articulated.  The modules
are *not* compatible with the original Blacktron system, but they are
compatible with another tech pin and hole system I've been using for a
couple of years.  Among other vehicles, my (pre-contest) Blacktron ships
used this system.  Near the end of the pics, you'll see the Mobile Message
Decoder hooked up in odd ways, including some shots with additional modules.

It's on Brickshelf because I'm in the middle of switching web hosts.  I'll
get it onto my new web home as soon as I have one, but for now there are no
image descriptions.

I'm doing instructions for it as well, so I will soon have an exact piece
count.  I believe it is almost dead on 300.

(...) Now that is great! I am impressed with this model as it greatly fits with the TLC designed BT1 sets. I especially like how the mini-rover mimics its parent with the hinged mid-section (as did the Battrax set). Very nice indeed! -H. (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.space)

This is a very cool vehicle. Great work! I loved the little droid. it looked a lot like the droids from the sets right before Blacktron I, but with a twist around the arms... Alexander (...) (23 years ago, 15-Dec-01, to lugnet.space)
