Potential for really cool spider mecha....

I was somewhat disappointed with the Insectoids set number 6977 because the
legs were only made of only a few pieces for each leg and none of the legs
had any hinges for the movement of the knees or the feet and that the
Arachnoid Star Base had used wheels for movement showed to me that the
Arachnoid Star Base was somewhat cheapening of such a good idea for a spider
mecha. There has also been a strange occurence between the Insectoids sets
and the Regis on Robotech/Macross. The Regis is the queen of this group of
insects and the Insectoids are led by a queen. I think that Insectoids
should have learned some lessons (though I like some of the smaller
Insectoids sets, in fact, I liked set 6810 so much that I bought ten of
those LEGO sets) from those people. If any person can give me their
interpretation of redesigning the Arachnoid Star Base into a spider mecha,
please let me know of your creation on Lugnet and please respond to this letter.
