(...) The domain name is the fully qualified host name. If you need DNS to look it up, it's a domain name - the "host" in the RFC. That's what it's a "Domain Name Service" :) Anything after the / is part of the path, as defined in the HTTP RFC (...)   Re: Major Debut: Part I

(...) Thanks! I like to make ships looks strange and against the grain, especially war ships. I'm very picky about being 'realistic', and hoses make great greeblies. Part II will be up soon, expect curvy shapes and bright colors. Thanks for the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) One thing: LEGO (that is, the company) commonly ask people to refrain from using their brand name in URLs, so you might want to try and think of a different URL for your site. Cheers, Paul (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

(...) Dave- Wonderful MOC! TLS was and still is one of my favorite movies:-) To immortalize the gunstar in such a faithful and detailed way is terrific. Excellent job! TLC couldn't have designed it better! JOHN (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Major Debut: Part I

That's cool! The shape is weird, but it works. The greeblies are great, and I really like the hosing connecting the fuel tank to the rest of the ship. Cool stuff, can't wait for Part II! -JHK (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Gunstar from "The Last Starfighter"

Thanks David! The CG does look kinda spare by today's standards, but I kinda like it. It's not overdone like a lot of CG we see now. I love the shot when the Gunstar first takes off and we see it coming towards the camera, spinning to show off its (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)

Thanks Travis! SNOT building can indeed be very frustrating, but you just have to keep working on it until the light bulb flashes on. This project had lots of fits and starts, but you just have to be dogged and relentless! Dave "travis" (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.space)
