A few new bots... and a bit more

Hello, all. I have some (more) new MOCs. First, I would like to say that webpages are not yet up due to technical difficulties. But the pictures are. A new bot: (URL) another new bot named Bill: (URL) here Bill goes off and deals with the fleebnork (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: Microfig Attack Carrier

Thanks Nathan! I used a technic axle to hold the assembly together. Tjhe rest is made up of 2x2x1 rounds, 4x4x1 rounds, the light gray tires and the dark gray parts inside the wheels. Thats about it. I'm planning on adding a lot of detail to the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Microfig Attack Carrier

(...) Very cool ship! I like the overall shape of it. The color scheme is...descent (white and dark gray just don't look good together, OMHO) What pieces did you use for the interior part of the rockets? Nathan Wells (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Microfig Attack Carrier

Thanks Gil! Yeah, you can never tell when it comes to matters of taste. Curved lines as we all know are hard to do in LEGO, even harder in smallish designs with fewer parts. I always like challenging myself in this way. Building this model was also (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Microfig Attack Carrier

Hey Joel! Yeah, I cant blame you for getting your hopes up when I mention the great Ken-tucky. I would agree that this is not my most impressive model by any means but my intent was not really to impress. I was looking to create a medium sized Star (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Water-bags fight back

Too funny. I skimmed the writeup and went for the photos (guilty!), then went back to it after the 'BigClue' shot. Love the joke MOC's..... Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Microfig Attack Carrier

I think this one has merit Pat, particularily for it's fidelity to the 70's anime ship aesthetic. Poking around the several Yamato/Starblazers referrence sites, it struck me that the designs of the time are curving, bulbous lots, often resembling (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: A space workhorse MOC from Port Block Yards

This is quirky good...it's like old school meets new school. I always enjoy other themes (as this reminds me of a stout ocean going vessel) meshed with sci-fi. I quite like the view from the front...the asymmetry of the mounted cones to be precise. (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space)

  Re: Space.

Good stuff. I'd love to make a shot of the gilded helmet astronaut with the lunar camera (with those cool measurement overlays) a la minfig. .Space indeed! -G (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Screamin Mimi HoverBike w/ sidecar

Excellent stuff as always Jamie. You always seem to come up with designs that flow so well. As Chris said, the technic ball as nose looks amazing. I also quite like the engine design...the angled nozzles break up the line and mirror the angle of the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Water-bags fight back

(...) Well, there's not much point in saving the planet from alien invasion only to drown from rising water levels in a hundred years time. (...) Well spotted that man! :^) Allister (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: ROLL CALL! 78! 78! 78! 78! 78! 78!

Well, the last roll call did do something. The Medieval Market was a direct result of it. Josh (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

  Re: Water-bags fight back

(...) Thanks Lenny. I figure if my technical abilities aren't as developed as the more experienced builders in .space, I can at least try and get a few laughs. Cheers, Allister (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Water-bags fight back

(...) Thanks. If the Aerosol fighter fails in the fight there are backup plans to call in the swat team and crush the opposition once and for all. Stay tuned for further fleebwar updates. (...) I'm looking forward to it. Allister (22 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
