In point form the good points are:
-Good Interface and a good host of editing options and special effects.
-A nice selection of building parts and characters.
-Good backdrops and some very good tips and tricks.
-A fun and inventive manual.
-Capability to record audio tracks from audio CDs
-Software can automatically update itself from the Web site.
-Lego Cam can be used as a standard Windows video device.

And the bad points...
-Terrible image quality (Artifacting)
-Misleading clips as samples.
-Desyncing audio from the video.
-Lack of any preferences for viewing and/or exporting movies.
- Inability to add external video footage

I generally agree with Dean's experience.  I'll add my list of +s and -s

good points:
fairly complete package for making short cartoons not movies
very responsive customer support, however they actually only solved one of
three problems

bad points:
over priced, $60 in parts + $30 camera + $40 software = $130 not $180
LEGO audio mixer had to be disabled to work with my computer
audio recorded with voice-over has a distortion that makes it unusable in my
opinion
finished .mpg looks like a moving watercolor painting with audio problems
100 page manual is 1/2 instructions on how to build the set, not enough on
how to make a movie with the kit
no interface to control camera settings like agc or white balance, you need
to use something like PhotoEditor.

overall:
expensive toy, wait till it goes on sale.

Cross posted to lugnet.robotics.vc) Purchased at Toys R Us for $250 Canadian. First, let me say that I used (...)
