This group seems to be pretty dead, so I thought I'd try and liven it up. We got a Mindstorms camera mount linked up to the web. I'm not doing the control through Windows. Instead, I'm using some perl CGI and other scripts to send IR messages to the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.tele)

(...) As long as you post it as regular plain ASCII text and not as a binary, I don't see why anyone would mind... --Todd (25 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.tele)

Re: Red Rover, Red Rover 4.0... windows sockets error question

  ASP and Spirit.ocx

Hi all, I've built a mount for my webcam out of the Mindstorms kit - but I can't see how to use the spirit.ocx in my ASP. Has anyone already done this? All I really need to see is how you talk to the ocx from your ASP - just for a simple pan/tilt (...) (25 years ago, 13-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.tele)

I got my Red Rover, Red Rover 4.0 from PITSCO-LEGO Dacta the other day! This software allows you to do internet control of an RCX or Serial Interface Box Mars Rover along with live video in your home or classroom. This is a big stretch, but does (...)   Re: Web-controlled RCX

This guy has done it: (URL) remote-controlled an RCX over the internet using the LabVIEW 5.0 Web Server combined with ROBOLAB commands along with the free Basic Real Server from real.com for the video... all running on an NT server. But I am just (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.tele)

  Web-controlled RCX

I've asked students of mine to find a solution to remote-control an rcx by the web. These are just their first steps in this area. Has anyone established this already? What techniques did you use and what is your experience? Our local network is NT. (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.tele)
