  Re: Palm Pilot & Scout

(...) Hi All, well I have a palm Vx, which of course has an internal IR port. I recently bought a Scouot kit, and thought a similar thing. When I programmed the Scout to reverse when detecting light, and put my palm in front of it, and beamed (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

fiber optics conduit to light sensors

You can make a sturdy fiber optic cable conduit from Lego tubes and connectors. It can completely enclose at least two Lego fiber optic cables joined end-to-end from a light source to a light sensor. The conduit can shield a light sensor from (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.robotics.microscout, lugnet.robotics.vll)

  Lego News?

Does anyone know what "cycle" Lego uses to release new sets? I'm really curious about any upcoming Mindstorms releases, as are most of the people here too. Thanks! JOSH (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Booster Set

you may want to hold off on purchasing an IR tower, john barnes is working on one that uses the power from the serial port(doing away with the battery) and the parts should be very cheap. i will be working on a free-form solution that should fit (...)   Re: More Building Instructions for Scout?

(...) Pretty decent Designs. Did you know that with NQC you can program the SCOUT to do some REALLY cool stuff? I noticed you have a Gecko Cam. I've created a Camera Mount that uses the Scout and people can control it from the Internet. All you need (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.books)

Re: More Building Instructions for Scout?

Checkout my web site (URL) for an original Scout model that uses the built-in behaviors. I call it a "Light Seeking Missle Lanucher". I've been playing with various combinations of the built-in behaviors to see what else I can come with. More in the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.books)
