Finally,
I have got pbFORTH to where I can release it again. It now has:
- A simple cooperative tasker
- A marker word so you can erase things easily
- Support for poweroff
- High res (10msec) count down and stop timers
- Various and sundry fixes
Please reread the wordlist document. I have kept the changes
to a minimum, but the SENSOR and BUTTON words had to change.
There is also a TclTk script that puts a little GUI around
the SREC processing and image upload. Now that fileevents are
working with scriptics version 8.1 of Tk under Win98, we can have
event driven IO. Sorry, no Mac support.
You can still use NQC as a loader, and then a dumb terminal for
transferring software. That was the original intent of pbFORTH
and I intend to keep it that way.
As always, comments and suggestions are welcome...see the sigline
for the URL.
Cheers,
Ralph Hempel - P.Eng

| (...) That would be great if you could show me a 8086 or 286 that ran Linux. You can get Xenix (or could get Xenix) for 286 machines, but you probably can't write the low-level device drivers to run the I/O ports that you'll be custom building for (...)
