(...) Yes, and no. It is an interpreter, that you can type (or upload) ASCII text to. It then compiles it into an efficient bytecode (really 16 bits) that lets you execute later. (...) I think there are some C to FORTH translators at www.forth.org, but the problem is you need to configure them to run on your CPU and then to output FORTH compatible with your target.
