Ok, did some poking around.
In Red Hat 6.2 and in Mandrake 6.1, vector.h is part of "egcs-c++". With Red
Hat 7.0 beta, vector.h is part of "libstdc++-devel". I looked on a Mandrake
7.1 mirror and could find neither package.
However, I checked the Mandrake 7.2beta, and yup, there's "libstdc++-devel".
Conclusion: Mandrake 7.1 is broken. No wonder you couldn't get it to work.

[root@linux SPECS]# rpm -bb nqc.spec Executing(%prep): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.26034 + umask 022 + cd /usr/src/RPM/BUILD + (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)
