Hi, I tried to install brickos 0.2.6.09.newConf2 using the (URL) tutorial, everything goes kind of smoothly untill i have to type make strip in /brickos-0.2.6.09.newConf2/util cygwin responds with: $ make strip strip fontdesign.exe strip: (...) Hi, Yesterday I changed it into "\brickos", but as wanted to download a Programm again today, it didn't work (also only with Cygwin not). So I tried everything, I have also deinstalled BricxCC, Cygwin and BrickOS (perhaps some registry files (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Trent, Make sure the following files exist in the paths listed below (within the main BrickOS folder): boot\brickos.srec util\firmdl3.exe If those do not exist, then you need to run the configuration routine and MAKE to build the firmdl3 application (...) Scott, You need to put a .depend file and Makefile inside the directory you are compiling the programs in. Just create a file with the extenstion .depend and put it into your programs directory. Hi, When I'm trying to install the Hitachi H8 cross compiler (on win2000), I have some errors during the installation like : sys/types.h: No such file or directory But at the end it says : GCC install end Done. :---...--- End Wed Feb 25 14:05:50 (...) (...) Rob, I've had the same problem with BrickOS. The installation I used came with BrickOS already built. I reloaded the RCX with LEGO firmware and all three motor ports worked fine. (...) Cygwin is pure Windows. DJGPP is DOS, and doesn't work well with brickOS. Although everyone should use Linux. The "invalid symbolsrec file" issue (error from makelx) issue is now fixed in binutils CVS, both on the trunk, and on the 2.13 branch - so the next release of binutils, be it 2.13.2 or 2.14 will have this fixed. If anyone is at all interested, I have a completed porting the brickOS headers to a set of Pascal units. At present, I have successfully written Pascal versions of essentially all the C and C++ demo files - including TrailerBot. I've also written a (...)
