  Re: Light sensor question

Hi Matt, I'll try to help. :o) First, you have to specify the type of sensor that is hooked on the port. You do that with: type port SENSOR_TYPE Let me know if you need to know the different values for 'type'. 3 is a light sensor. Ports are numbered (...) Joe, Great job on taking the bull by the horns! The following are my suggestions on a system configuration. Please note that the term "divider" is being used here to indicate the function should only be performed every Nth interrupt. OCRA interrupt (...)   Re: Maximum sample rate (turn rate) for rotation sensor

When using the standard firmware, sensors are sampled every 3 ms. The rotation sensor uses a quadrature encoder with a 1:4 gearing between the axle and the encoder, so there are 16 "ticks" per revolution of the axle. The decoding routine in the (...)   Re: Varying the output voltage?

This is what I noticed, comparing the two systems with BrickOS One thing that I noticed was at the lower voltages the needle on my multimeter wavered around a little and it tended to steady at the higher power levels All of the readings were taken (...) (...) Ok. This is indeed the result if you run the original LNP package. There are several problems with your sources, too. So try the following to get things done: First, go to the lnpd subdir and edit rcxtty.c. In function tty_init you find a line (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

As Lester stated, you will need accurate distance, speed and direction measurements - and that is so true. Furthermore, for calculating coordinates (...)   Re: Save the RIS!

Unfortunately, it seems that TLC doesn't have a clear idea of what to do with Mindstorms in general. Their support for the whole line has been less than full - note the failure to update software for their cameras beyond Win98. I've been using the (...)   Re: Black

Re: direct manipulation of bits in RCX registers using NQC

(...) Correct. A NQC command (say, "Wait(10);") is converted to one or more "bytecodes" (in this case, one bytecode, namely a string of 4 bytes (0x43 0x02 0x0a 0x00), the first of which is a command (0x43) while the following three are information (...)   New NQC API for RCX-Spybot or RCX-RC communication
