Hi. Is this set gonna be replaced in the near future? I just picked up two sets for DM 199 (about USD 100) each here in Germany. All other stores I called today asked between 399 and 449. The Droid Dev kit sold for DM 109 in that store. Frank (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) I've been wondering what would happen if you 'NULL'Modem'd Two IR Towers together. Would you get a repeater tower for jumping rooms? Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (26 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Maybe not exactly Lego, but..... Has anyone any thoughts about using the IR Tower to communicate with a Laptop's built in IR transceiver? Maybe set it up using Direct Cable Connection?? If I should ask this elsewhere, please put me straight :) (26 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

 | | P-brick Script code terminology

Hi all, Perhaps someone can clarify this for me... I've been looking at the LEGO P-brick Script code language documentation that comes with the RIS 2.0 SDK PreAlpha. I was initially confused by the numerous references to program stacks. Does 'stack' (...) (26 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Indeed, your circuitry is interesting (I'm not sure though it would save time, since soldering can be pretty tedious...). But the challenge here is to make it out of Lego. (...) I believe the PBBattery() command is very different from using the Battery 'data source'. Specifically, the command is direct only (after all, there's no equivalent within a program for the response data from a command). However, data sources (...) (...) Check out page 11. It states that it's DIRECT only. Not program. That's what I gather anyway... Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (26 years ago, 2-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) Check out page 7 of the LASM Byte Codes doc. They've added a lot more data "sources" including one for the battery level. This means you'll be able to use the battery level the same way you currently can read Timers, the Watch, etc. Too bad (...) (26 years ago, 2-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

What looks nice to me is that part of the way through, it mentions a giveaway of 5 RIS 2.0 sets, and sets a QA date of Apr. 17th. That would seem a pretty absolute guarantee that we'll see RIS 2.0 no later than this Xmas... which would be pretty (...) (26 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
