I am unable to extract the Lego Mindstorms SDK 2.5. Inside the zip file is just a Windows executable which does not seem to be either a zip or rar self extracting archive, does anyone know where to get a copy of it in a normal archive format, or how (...) Wow, I'm sure glad I have the RCX 1.0 with the power jack... I didn't even know the newer ones didn't have it until I started to visit LUGNET...It's something I couldn't live without, not to mention the battery contacts are unreliable... (...) (21 years ago, 21-Aug-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Wow, that answers a lot of questions, all but one: why is the USB's 'long range' shorter than the Serial's distance? Was my speculation of the available power true?
