Unfortunately, the tower doesn't come with drivers. You need to get the RIS
2.0 software upgrade or the ROBOLAB 2.5 software in order for the tower to
function. We need to develop a cross-platform open source set of drivers
for it. Is anyone working on this?

| I'm working on a kernel mode driver for Linux for the IR Tower. Overall from everything I've figured out, this is just a USB Serial device; porting code in win32 from COM1 (Serial interface from old serial one) -> LEGOTOWER1 (The USB Tower device (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
