  Re: questions on events

(...) See previous post for the "I-don't-actually-do-Robolab" disclaimer, but, since Robolab & NQC both work on the same firmware... You can monitor multiple events, but only in *different* tasks. In other words, (to my knowledge) you can not "nest" (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Define Event icon...

(...) I fear I became very frustrated with Robolab, so can't help you *specificly* with that enviroment, but... at a firmware level, events can "watch" several different sources: sensors, timers, three simple counters... however, they can not be (...)   Re: Define Event icon...

(...) Elizabeth, you are a few steps ahead of me in working with 'Events'. Could you explain, in plain English, what exactly an 'Event' is? ...it's not a 'State' because it can be a constant or a variable. Yet you can have an 'Event Fork' which is (...)   Define Event icon...

Hi I'd like to set up an event to watch for a containers value = 3. I am trying to use the "Define Event" icon, but has no luck yet. Just wonder if there is anyone out there has suggestion. The official doc does not explain much different from what (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  questions on events

Are events stackable? Or it works more like "signal()", e.g. in C? e.g. I have 2 different light sensor events set to watch for value higher than 42, yellow & blue. Let say both sensors read 45 at the same time, RCX returns only one event being (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

crosscompiler does not compile arrays of objects

Hello! I made a cross-compiler with the sources of gcc-3.4.2 and tried to compile this: Behavior a(); Behavior b() Behavior behaviors[] = {a,b}; ... Make fails with the error message: conversion from Behavior()() to non-scalar type Behavior (...) (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  RE: brickOS port to FreeBSD

John, I'm interested in how you got the USB tower working... I've got a Tcl package that talks to the LEGO USB tower driver under Windows, but nothing for FreeBSD yet. I'm willing to share the Tcl script with you if I ever get the tower working (...) (20 years ago, 23-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: using MacNQC with Spybotics via USB Tower

(...) It is a capability of NQC but I was mistaken about the Mac version of NQC. It currently does not support the Spybotics target when the USB tower is used. One of the first changes I made when I took over NQC was to add the ability for NQC to (...) (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: RCX IR Transceiver Circuit

(...) Indeed, you probably had something wrong there: I checked the battery of a serial tower I didn't use for a very long time, it was still fully charged. Philo (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

  Re: RCX IR Transceiver Circuit

(...) I can verify the data on all but the zener and 6Cp transistor. I intended to put it in a text file with the diagram, but I'll add it to the diagram instead. The 1Kp and 3Kp transistors have equivalents of BC548B and BC558B, which are common (...) (20 years ago, 28-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)
