The 9709 RCX Programmable Brick is sold out on LEGO.com but I know that the LEGO Outlet store in Dawsonville Georgia still have a bunch, and for the same price. 1) Can I change the batteries when the RCX is plugged in without losing programming? Is it safe to do? 2) Can I unplug the RCX (with working batteries in it) transport it then plug it in without losing programming? Jude (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

It works fine. Just make sure that you have administrator access on the machine you will be using, otherwise you won't be able to use the USB tower. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
