I've added RCX 2.0 support and filled in a lot of the missing features. There still are a few odds and ends that need to be implemented, but most programs should be able to be simulated on it. This is still only the core simulator and not a full GUI (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Yes, it's possible. You get less voltage with NiCads, so the motors don't turn as fast as they do with brand-new alkalines. Plus they don't last as long. However, they're so much cheaper to run! Yes. Install the "extras" from the "project" menu. You will then get a yellow stop sign, which floats the motors instead of brakeing them. I'm not sure about how many I/O ports the H8/3000 in the RCX has. Are they all used in the RCX? (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
