  Constructopedia v1.0

I have just purchased a RIS v1.5 and am very pleased with it. I would like to obtain the v1.0 constuctopedia. Does anyone know of a place that would sell JUST the constructopedia? Maybe Shop@Home? Thanks for any help John Reichel (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  RE: Long range IR mode.

(...) The >R and R> words are used as little helpers. The put (or get) the top element of the data stack to the return stack. As long as you dont fiddle with the return stack between uses, they are a great way to do this. The alternative way to code (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Long range IR mode.

(...) Great, much more generalized code. What are the >R and R> words BTW? Did FFB7 C@ . and found the contents to already FE, as in, it appears that the default IR mode is indeed Long to start with. Seems like the effective range is much shorter (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: RIS 1.0 to 1.5 software upgrade

I received my free (+$3.95 P&H) upgrade kit today and was pleasantly surprised ( or should that be AMAZED, Y-A-H-O-O-O-O!!!! and THANK YOU LEGO) to see that was NOT just a software upgrade, as I had thought, but the full #3803 "RIS 1.5 UPGRADE KIT" (...)   Re: RCX motor voltage

Wes, I'm sorry; I missed the Rcx Motor info... If the Rcx Motors start/run with 6V but don't work with the Rcx Outputs, something is 'Funny'. The Rcx, with decent batteries, puts out about 7 volts to a running Rcx motor (full power setting). I'm not (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: JVM and spirit.ocx

(...) I don't exactly know how _much_ has been done, but I know there's been quite a bit of interest at times over the past year, and I know of at least three Java/JVM efforts related to the RCX. Here are some links which you might find useful: (3 (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Re: legOS-0.2.2

Hi Martin, the FD_ZERO bug sounds interesting. Maybe there's a way to work around this issue in a more portable way? Like, remove /usr/include from the Makefile and hope for the best? The debugging output shows that the host is sending packets and (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: JVM and spirit.ocx

(...) Hi, I am currently working on a Java API for the RCX based on LEGO's firmware. It is basically a model of the RCX with LEGO's firmware, that is, the instruction set described by Kekoa Proudfoot in his RCX Internals. The basics (instruction (...)   Re: Hapless WinNT user

(...) Here is a suggestion for those who are trying it on NT. (I can't right now- access problems :( In Makefile.common, line 20, add the flag -nostdinc (i.e., line 20 should read "COPT =-O2 -fno-builtin -fomit-frame-pointer -nostdinc"). (...)
