And I "third" this motion. I've started going through the "fun" process of
building GCC for NXT, but don't have enough gigabytes of free space on my LEGO
dev machine (under CygWin) to get all the way through the process. Although I
don't think this is too difficult for anyone who has the chops to start hacking
firmware, I also don't see the value in making everybody spend the hours
figuring this out for themselves before they can join the Firmware Hackers Club.
If anyone has successfully built GCC/NXT for a Win32 machine, could they please
share their binaries with the group? (I'll gladly offer hosting space for these
files if that would help.) I will do this myself if/when I get a successful
build together, but I'm multitasking a lot of other projects at the moment, so
it could be awhile. I think the pace of firmware customizations would pick up
greatly if more people had easy access to a working toolchain.
