CW Technology is now offering a kit of only the "hard to get" parts for the
Handyboard 1.2. Basically, the kit includes everything you can't get at
DigiKey and Mouser. The price is very competitive if you consider the
minimum orders, shipping, etc. to order these parts yourself. Throw in the
fact that some of the parts are getting hard to find and more expensive
(i.e. the L293Ds, IR unit), and it's a GREAT deal! Included:
U12 Dallas DS1233-10 Voltage Monitor
U15 Infrared Demodulator
U10-11 L293D Motor Drivers
U4 16x2 LCD
U1 MC68HC11A1FN Microcontroller
PCB Set
The price of this kit is $85US and includes shipping in the US via USPS
Priority Mail. As with the other items offered by CW Technology, COD is
available at a charge of $5. Foreign orders by arrangement (I will simply
add the cost to Air Mail the kit to you).
With this offer, there is no excuse not to build a Handyboard!

| thanks to all those who requested information, I have decided to post it here rather than send out 30+ email messages. This is a beta test of an IR transmitter board for the HB or any other use. The board is about 1 in square, either round or square (...) (29 years ago, 5-Mar-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
