If I recall correctly, I think the BINH in the sonar software is set high
for the entire duration of the ping. This way, ECHO will never trigger. If
you tie your BINH to GND, it will enable ONLY the internel blanking.

Sounds like the same problem I had.  Disconnect binh, and see what
numbers you get.

The docs maybe need to be cleaned up if everyone is whacking their
one chip.  There needs to be a resisor in the binh pin.
