I'm trying to download the pcode_hb.s19 file to the handy board
and I'm having a very hard time. I using win95 on a P5 and 200mhz.
I setup the com port settings at 110 and no data flow. When I run the
hbdl program and try to download the file I get an error that says
wrong port or board setting. The handy board is set in download
mode. When the error comes up the power light on the handy board
turns on. I tested out the connection under the hyperterminal program
that comes with win95 and all was fine there. I also did not
have hbdl running at the time. Then I tried to use the downloader
with interactive C v3.1 from Newton Labs but I always get an error
saying that the board is not responding. I talked to my prof about
the problem and he said that some people have said that the host
computer may be too fast for the board. Is there any truth to this?
Does anyone have any info on what I may be doing wrong?

| Tom: Your tests, specifically the fact that the HB's PWR LED comes on after download fails, demonstrate conclusively that the HB can *receive* data from your PC. This proves that the downloading software is able to open the serial port properly, and (...) (28 years ago, 23-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
