(...) not that i am aware of. you could connect to the HB's phone jack as long as you don't have to talk to interactive c and your calc at the same time. see the FAQ serial answer. Hi I have been trying to get the HB into bootstrap mode without much success. Following the instructions in the manual, I held down the STOP button while turning on the HB. The red and green LEDs were supposed to turn on for a short period of time (...) (28 years ago, 5-Sep-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

see if you can get it to go into download mode when you don't have the phone cable plugged in. if this works, then you have some kind of probl with your serial connection. make sure you have a normal modem cable, and a telephone style RJ11 cable (...)
