Help! I can't open any of the files at the cherupkha site. I presume these are "postscript" files. I've tried various apps to view them without success. I'm workin in a PC enviroment, no MACS or unix. I keep readin about the great libraires out (...) (27 years ago, 11-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

As usual, this mundane matter of workin for a living has interfered yet again with the more pleasant pursuit of robotics (read: missed the show). Was this a PBS show? I would love to have seen this. Do you think it would also be viable to use a soft NON-conductive foam and then measure the capacitance instead of the resistance to work accurately with lighter pressures? (...) yup, it was too short! (...) Phil, couple of questions for clarity. Does it need to go up and down the steps or just up? does it carry stuff? Why is step climbing needed? No, you can't use PWM outputs that swing from about ~10v-~4v for *digital* output. However, you can pull the 74HC374 (see motor output schematic) out of socket and put a 16pin ribbon cable(rat shack) in the socket. Then take the other end to a (...) If you can use an I2c chip, then the Motorola MC68HC11E2 has 2k of EEPROM and costs about 8-10 dollars. You can try contacting Motorola for samples if you are a student I have heard they are free.
