The v2x compass sounds like a great unit for keeping a mouse centered in a maze corridor. I am looking for some more info on the SPI header pinout, on the HB, and how to connect the v2x to it. Can anyone tell me what servo.lis has in it. I have the servo.c file but not the lis file. I saw in an earlier email that there was an lis file too. When I load servo.c there are undefined functions. (...) From my experience, the calibration is only needed if you need absolute heading data. Any non-moving metal in the immediate neighborhood will have a constant effect on the readings. (...) I had troubles with the V2X within 2 inches of some small hobby motors. Lotsa magnet there, but larger motors have more magnet. (...) Do you recall ever feeling a static electricity shock when you went to press the start button in the past? The bug has all of the earmarks of a static damaged part. Hey Tom How close is too close? How far away do you have it? Any problems with just pieces of metal, like casters or maybe a gel cel holder. (hint hint) Sounds like a pretty nifty little device.
