  Re: pink book

(...) From the back cover, hook up to (URL) or dial 602 244 6609 w/touchtone phone. Ask for M68HC11RM/AD (mine's rev 3). That's the main manual for the 68HC11 series. A smaller book on the E variant, M68HC11E/D, which covers the E specific options, (...) (28 years ago, 10-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Mobile Robotics Book

Where can I obtain the book Mobile RObotics that is mentioned so much on the HB mailing list. Anyone got the publisher and the ISBN # ? Thanks Bill Rose Fort Smith, AR (28 years ago, 10-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Handyboard IR Sensor question.

Thanks for your last response. Today we wrote and tested: Run motor 1 forward at half speed. Monitor the microswitch at digital port 7. If the switch closes (Hit the wall!) then Stop the motor BEEP Run motor 1 backwards full speed for 1 second. Shut (...) (28 years ago, 10-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: Interfacing HB to PIC

(...) Well, remember the code I have is in SBasic, not Interactive C. However, it's not all that long so here it is. -mike ' sigproc.bas - written 12/96 for 68HC11E1 processor (Tcomp) ' ' pulls in 4 RC signals on the 4 IC interrupts, massages them (...)   RE: Interfacing HB to PIC

(...) Well, in that case, the SPI port is what you want, provided an SPI port is also available on the PIC. Then just set up the SPI config, load the register and the computers exchange 16 bits shifted on a clock generated automatically by the (...) (28 years ago, 9-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: Interfacing HB to PIC

I really didn't have anything in mind other than the solution. How could you use the SPI port to communicate with the PIC? (...) (28 years ago, 9-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Interfacing HB to PIC

(...) Are you referring to using the SPI port on the Handyboard, or simulating the SPI function via other ports? If you run the handyboard as a master, then the handyboard is responsible for providing the clock output used to capture the data by the (...)   Interfacing HB to PIC

Has anyone interfaced the HB to a PIC chip or other microcontroller without using the primary serial lines? I am wondering if maybe there was an I2C or SPI implementation done somewhere using digital outs. (28 years ago, 9-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  (Reply to Mr. Ericson)

Mar, I responded last night to your personal address and to be quite honest, I'm not sure if I sent it to the right address..so let me say again, in response to your question about what kind of IR sensors my design group and I plan on using--we (...)   HB learning time

Hello, I am a beginner in Robotics and have looked at the Handy Board, Miniboard, BotBoard, and Basic stamps. I have decided I think I like the HB. The only thing is I want to make a mobile robot or arm that has basic AI, maybe using Subsumption. I (...) (28 years ago, 8-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
